Is the neatest little guide to mutual fund investing updated? Does the book from 1997 apply to today?

It has not been updated, James, but aside from a much larger selection of funds, and now ETFs comprising much of the business, the basics haven’t changed. If I were to update it, I would show new resources for evaluating funds and devote a whole chapter to ETFs and how to choose between the two, but portfolio allocation and the essential fund types wouldn’t change a bit.
